Flight Planner/PLOG generator
Flight Planner/PLOG generator

This brilliantly designed software allows you to plan your flight by simply clicking your route on a map. Then you add details such as wind speed and direction, planned cruise altitude, airspeed and fuel usage and click submit. A PDF PLOG will be generated giving all your required flight data, including times, track and headings.

NOTAMs on Google Maps
NOTAMs on Google Maps

Strictly unofficial...but very neat all the same! This webpage allows you to see UK NOTAMs visually laid over Google Maps. A side panel allows you to filter out particular types of NOTAM. Notams are displayed as red areas on the map. Clicking a red zone will bring up details of that particular NOTAM...it's as simple as that!
We have no idea who wrote the program, but if they would like to get in touch we will heap huge amounts of praise on them!
CAA/NATS take note - this is how it should be done.

GPS Track Log Viewer
GPS Track Log Viewer

The GPS Track Log Viewer allows you to upload your GPS track log files so you can see them overlaid on a map, with graphs of your altitude and groundspeed. You can also view your track logs in 3D with Google Earth.

This is a learning aid intended to help students understand some of the most common codes found on a TAF forecast. It shows a visual representation of a TAF, including cloud layers, visibility and precipitation.
