The British Microlight Aircraft Association looks after the interests of microlight owners in the UK. Fifty years ago a group of enthusiastic aviators set up a flying club on the former USAAF airbase at Seething. Originally leased, the Waveney Flying Group went on to purchase the land in 1963.
We were founded with the aim of making flying and flying training accessible to 'the man in the street' (whoever he or she may be!). We feel it is important that we keep that 'mission' in mind. It pervades the whole ethos of the organisation and affects every development which takes place at Seething airfield. We believe we are the only flying group in GA in the UK to have control over our own airfield and hence a great deal of independence.

White Waltham Airfield, the home of West London London Aero Club (WLAC), is one of the oldest and best known airfields in the UK. Set in 200 acres on the edge of a picturesque estate in the beautiful Berkshire countryside, it is one of the largest grass airfields in Britain.
White Waltham has three long runways, plenty of parking space and has a wonderful easy going atmosphere. With its friendly and historic clubhouse, a wide choice of aircraft and enthusiastic Instructors, WLAC is a truly unique flying club.
